.: PhreakNIC X - October 20-22, 2006, Nashville, TN

PhreakNIC is an annual convention held in Nashville, TN. Originally started as a "hacker convention," it has since grown to include all things of interest to the technology minded individual, such as sci-fi/fantasy, gaming, anime and other areas of tech culture. PhreakNIC is organized by the Nashville 2600 Organization and the Nashville Linux Users Group. There are technical presentations, cultural exhibits and panels, as well as plenty of socializing. It's great to be able to attend, but for those who can't, we put up videos from past years to share with the rest of the world.

.: T-Shirt Re-order

Update:   Our T-shirt reprint process has ended and we've sent the order to the printer. We should hopefully have the T-shirts ready to ship by the middle of December. Thanks to everybody who ordered a T-shirt or hoodie. T-shirts left over from PhreakNIC 7, 8, 9, and 10 are still available on our order site. Sorry, existing sizes only - we will not be doing another reprint. If you were not at PhreakNIC and haven't seen the designs, they are available here.

.: Keg Information

For those who aren't local, or don't know about what are called "Blue Laws" - laws regulating the sales and operations of alcoholic beverages: Nashville doesn't allow beer sales (by the bottle) on Sundays, so as such, any beer stores will not be open on Sunday. If you get a keg, make sure that the store you got it from is open on Sunday. We've done your homework for you - JJ's Market, which also hosts the local 2600 Meetings each month, both sells kegs and is open on Sundays. Their phone number is (615) 327-9055 and they are located at 1912 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37203 - that's about 2-3 miles from the hotel, by the way.

Pre-Registration is now closed. Registration is available at the door for $25. Registration will open on Friday morning, October 20, 2006, at 10 AM CST.

The PhreakNIC 10 hotel is the Days Inn at the Stadium in downtown Nashville, TN. Tell them you are with PhreakNIC, or you will most likely be told that the hotel is sold out.
